Pocket science. The praxeological dimension of scientific culture

Abstract

Context influences what we do and how we do it. The climate change emergency, health crises, concerns raised by technology, or social inequality, among many other global challenges, make the need to practice science more important than ever. Taking an interest, getting informed, acquiring knowledge, being willing to get involved and participate as a citizen are ways of practicing science that contribute to strengthening capacities and deciding courses of action. This book addresses these issues both from a conceptual perspective as from another applied focused on case studies in which the practical dimension of scientific culture is especially relevant.
